Our From the Collection Tea Towels show off a distinctive design inspired by items within The Harris. This tea towel is influenced by a Chinese dragon robe in blue embroidered silk c.1900. The 5-clawed dragon represents the Chinese Emperor and the power of the Imperial Court, whilst the original robe was most-likely produced for the tourist market, where Chinese-inspired art and fashion was popular in Britain and America in the early 1900s.
