Music and Mindfulness Tour

Many of you may be aware of the benefits of mindfulness, but did you also know that listening to music and viewing art can also enhance overall wellbeing and reduce stress? We thought we would combine all three for the ultimate immersive experience.

Starting the session relaxing as the glorious vocals of the Preston Cecilian Choral Society wash over us, we will then move to the art gallery to enjoy the works on display, and their affect on us, the viewer.

Mindfulness is the act of acceptance, so rest assured there is no test or right or wrong – we will simply be. The whole session will be gently guided, not with instruction but invitation, and the space to have your own personal experience, held in the knowledge of the group.

Mima Cornish is a meditation group leader who has been working in museum and gallery environments for the past five years. She is passionate about the accessibility of wellbeing – be it from galleries, art practice, or green spaces. Based in Warrington, you can find her under the name HedgeRose Healing.
