Beyond the Frame: Collections Inspired Life Drawing
The Studio | 6.30pm – 8pm | Tickets Needed
Join us for a unique beginner-friendly life drawing experience and sketch ‘living portraits’. The models will begin with a short performance in character and then strike a pose for you to draw. The model for the evening will be The Earl of Derwentwater, Jacobite commander at the Battle of Preston in 1715.
Singing in The Rotunda
The Rotunda | 6.30pm – 7pm | Drop-in
Preston Cecilian Choral Society is a professionally-led amateur choir based in the city of Preston. As they launch their 100th season, they will present a short programme of a variety of partsongs both contemporary and older, in the striking setting of The Rotunda.
Music and Mindfulness Tour
The Art Gallery | 6.30pm – 7.30pm | Tickets Needed
Many of you may be aware of the benefits of mindfulness, but did you also know that listening to music and viewing art can also enhance overall wellbeing and reduce stress? Starting the session relaxing as the glorious vocals of the Preston Cecilian Choral Society wash over us, we will then move to the art gallery to enjoy the works on display, and their affect on us, the viewer.
