Conversational Workshop: Alastair Morton Artist and Textile Designer

On the second Wednesday of the month, get closer to The Harris collection with one of our Curators.

To coincide with our Horrockses Fashions exhibition, join our Fine Art Curator for a rare opportunity to see The Harris’ collection of over 40 Alastair Morton drawings. Explore these beautiful, colourful, abstract works, many of which inspired his textile designs.

Between the late 1940s and early 1950s Morton designed over 400 lively printed cottons for Horrockses Fashions helping to establish the visual identity of the brand. Some of these dresses feature in the exhibition.
