Fibre Discovery Studio

A family drop-in exploring the journey from fleece to fibre.

Visitors can handle raw fleece, wool and cotton, watch spinning demonstrations using a drop spindle and spinning wheel, have a go at carding, and create their own woven keepsake using either a simple cardboard loom or paper weaving for younger visitors.

Suitable for a wide range of ages, with activities lasting from 5 – 30 minutes depending on the participant and activity.
