Golden Milestone Project: 50 years of the Gujarat Hindu Society

The Gujarat Hindu Society are celebrating their 50th anniversary. This special exhibition uses digitised archives and photographs to accompany stories of journeys from North Africa and India –  to where people lived and worked when they arrived in Preston.

A project film charts the growth of the society from a few individuals based in a terraced house, to the large temple complex on South Meadow Lane used by the wider community for conferences and events.

As project partners we are privileged to showcase this exhibition in the centre of Preston.
