JuniorSTEM Lego and Coding Session (5 – 8 yrs)

Build fantastic Lego WeDo models then learn to program sensors, motors and lights to bring them to life.

Build fantastic Lego WeDo models then learn to program sensors, motors and lights to bring them to life – A Lego robotics workshop by JuniorSTEM is a fun and exciting way to learn programming and engineering.

All the activities are hands on, highly engaging and allow children to be creative. They are encouraged to play, experiment and try things out within a structured and organised learning environment.

It’s great fun and packed full of learning.

What to expect in the sessions

JuniorSTEM sessions use Lego WeDo or WeDo 2.0 robotics kits. Children work in groups to build models with motors, lights, sensors, gears, and pulleys. Each session has a theme, such as fairgrounds, space, or animals, and pupils bring their creations to life through coding.

Coding is done using a simple block-based interface. Younger children start with basic commands, while older pupils progress to more advanced programming with sensors, loops, and variables.

All equipment is provided, and sessions are led by qualified teachers focusing on creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.
