Harris Head of Culture announced

Tim Joel has recently been appointed Head of Culture for Preston City Council. He will have an overview of the Harris Museum, Art Gallery and Library, leading the single team, bringing together the Library and Museum service and working with the Head of Capital Project, Re-imagining the Harris to deliver the Harris capital project.

He will oversee the development of the city’s events and festivals programme including the Lancashire Encounter Festival and driving cultural development for Preston, positioning culture at the heart.

Tim has come from the Council’s Events and Cultural Services team and more recently Deputy Head of Culture.
