Bus Station Film Screening

A film about Preston Bus Station by Gloria Regonesi, including a short introduction by Michael Akers.

What is a 170-meter-long Brutalist bus station doing in a modest town in the North West of England?

Filmed over just a few days in Preston, Lancashire, this documentary explores Preston Bus Station – a building that has shaped local life and identity since its opening in 1969. Caught between its reputation as a Brutalist icon and its dismissal as an eyesore, the film looks beyond the labels to paint an honest, grounded portrait of a structure and the humanity that inhabits it.
