Harris Open Special Event: Meditation and Watercolour Workshop

Slow down and discover your own creative flow with Raana B. Shah.

This workshop invites you to quieten your thoughts through a short, guided breathing meditation before expressing yourself using watercolours. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or picking up a brush for the first time, you will learn how to use creativity to enhance your own wellbeing. Raana will encourage you to make abstract art which means freedom from pressure. Give yourself the permission to detach from everyday worries and enjoy yourself.

This is a free workshop aimed at adults that would like to improve their mental health and wellbeing through art.

There will be a break half-way through – refreshments provided.

No experience necessary and all materials will be provided and yours to keep afterwards.

Raana Shah is an artist, community engager, writer, teacher and is a practitioner of meditation and qi gong herself. See her painting “Unified” in the Harris Open Exhibition.
